REI's 2026 Labor Day sale runs from August 28 through September 7, with discounts across tents, sleeping gear, apparel, stoves and outdoor electronics.
REI's annual Labor Day sale began on August 28 and is scheduled to run through September 7. Many items are discounted by as much as 40%, while REI Co-op members can save up to 20% on eligible REI Outlet purchases.The promotion covers products from REI's own label as well as brands including Mountain Hardwear, Nemo Equipment, Big Agnes and Coleman. A selection compiled by WIRED also included some competing retailer offers, so not every highlighted price was necessarily exclusive to REI.Among the featured discounts were the REI Co-op Half Dome 2 Tent with footprint at $198, down $131; the REI Co-op Magma 30 Down Trail Quilt at $247, down $82; the Mountain Hardwear Ghost Whisperer Down Hoody at $199, down $200; and the MSR PocketRocket Deluxe backpacking stove at $64, down $21. The Insta360 X5 360 camera was listed at $465, an $85 reduction.Other discounted categories included backpacking tents, merino base layers, camp stoves, water filters, sleeping bags and satellite communicators. Examples included the Big Agnes Copper Spur UL 2 Bikepacking Tent at $488, the Nemo Dragonfly Osmo 2P tent at $412, the REI Co-op Magma 15 sleeping bag at $299 and the Garmin inReach Mini 3 Plus at $450.Prices and stock can change during a sale period, and several offers were limited by size, colour or availability.
