PSG sign France midfielder Akliouche from Monaco
Paris Saint-Germain announced Thursday the signing of France international Maghnes Akliouche from fellow Ligue 1 outfit Monaco.
The 24-year-old creative midfielder has signed with the European champions until 2031 for a reported fee of 50 million euros ($58 million), according to French media outlets.
"Signing for Paris Saint-Germain is an immense source of pride. Having grown up in the Paris region, joining such a prestigious club means so much to me and my family," Akliouche said in a statement on PSG's website.
After joining Monaco as a 15-year-old in 2017, Akliouche progressed through the ranks before making his first team bow in 2021.
In 139 matches in all competitions for the principality side, he netted 23 times and laid on 28 assists.
Akliouche was part of Thierry Henry's France side which collected a silver medal at the 2024 Olympics.
He has represented his country 10 times and was a part of the French squad at the 2026 World Cup.
Akliouche's arrival bolsters Luis Enrique's attacking options, following the departures of Goncalo Ramos to AC Milan and Lee Kang-in to Atletico Madrid, while Bradley Barcola's future remains uncertain with Premier League side Liverpool interested in the winger.
