Young Swede Solberg extends Rally Estonia lead
Oliver Solberg continued to surprise in his first ever world rally championship event, the 23-year-old Swede extending his lead in the Rally Estonia on Saturday.
The son of 2003 WRC champion Petter Solberg is making a one-off appearance for Toyota alongside his regular WRC2 campaign.
He held a 12.4-second advantage over his more experienced rivals overnight, and after adding four more stage wins he goes into Sunday's closing day 21.1sec ahead of the pack.
"It's been an absolutely amazing day," said Solberg.
"It wasn't the plan to extend the gap, but hey, it's fantastic.
"I'm just doing my thing and trying to do every stage as good as I can and as clean as I can with no mistakes, and today there have been no mistakes. They are pushing so hard behind, and I can feel it -- it's tense."
In his wake are a trio of world champions, with Ott Tanak closest, followed by Thierry Neuville four seconds adrift and Kalle Rovanpera in fourth.
