Angel Correa leaves Atletico for Mexican club Tigres
Argentina's Angel Correa will join Mexican side Tigres from Atletico Madrid, the La Liga club announced on Wednesday.
Correa, who joined Atletico in 2015, had already said he would leave the team after the Club World Cup, where Diego Simeone's men were knocked out in the group stage.
"Atletico de Madrid and Tigres UANL have reached an agreement that will see Angel Correa join the Mexican outfit," Atletico said in a statement.
"The Argentinian forward now begins a new challenge, thereby putting an end to his ten-and-a-half season spell with the Rojiblancos."
Correa scored 88 goals in 469 games for Atletico, placing him amongst the club's top 10 appearance-makers.
The 30-year-old, who won the 2022 World Cup with Argentina, lifted the 2021 La Liga title with Atletico and the 2018 Europa League.
